A family of ranchers in Montana face off against others who are encroaching on their land. Forrie J. Smith, who plays Lloyd, is a seasoned Rodeo veteran. John Dutton (Kevin Costner) often seems to "forget" his Montana accent and reverts to the SoCal speaking voice he normally uses.. Featured in WatchMojo: 10 Best Summer TV Shows That Aren’t on Your Radar (2018). This is the kind of show where cowboy/western life meets big city mob life. This show is well-cast, the first two episodes were well-written, and you’ll want more after each episode. Not to mention, the scenery of Montana and Utah is gorgeous. The Duttons remind me of the Ewings from the 1970s drama “Dallas.” Yellowstone is, in short, "Dallas" meets "The Sopranos".
