CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror-based activity, etc… Mentioned in the Sovereign Awards (2024). I waited 4 episodes to really immerse myself in this for a long time. The goal was to give myself a chance to appreciate the gift we were given by the numerous A-list actors who contributed to the creation of this work, which, by the way, is enjoyable and well-regarded by many, despite mixed reviews. Many viewers have been told stories from a similar angle, but this vision here remains interesting while approaching a more confusing but well-woven plot with female characters, each confidently capturing our attention whenever they appear. Halfway through, we can’t say if this sense of urgency as we discover more and more of what’s going on will remain at the level it is now, but given the subject matter covered, the budget, and the talent pool they’ve managed to bring this to the screen with, it’ll be hard to miss the landing, mainly because of the series’ solid foundation.
