Plot
Alana Higman, a die-hard Kansas City Chiefs fan, and her family compete to win the team’s Fan of the Year award, judged by Director of Fan Engagement Derrick.. Revel in happy endings with this year’s lineup of romantic holiday movies that you can watch from the comfort of your home.. The movie was filmed in Independence, Missouri’s historic Independence Square, which in real life looks like this all year long. The locations of the Higman family store and Norma and Nick’s BBQ restaurant are also real-life family stores.
“Chiefs Love Story” continues that trend
6.7/10 (Recommended)While Hallmark movies remain cheesy and sometimes a bit unrealistic in their ability to tell love stories, 2024 has proven to be a great year for Christmas romance. I’m not a football fan and I’m sick of hearing about the Chiefs, but honestly this movie was amazing. It’s emotional (I may have cried a few times) and has a cast that really works well together. The chemistry between Hunter King and Tyler Hynes was obvious right away.
She takes her role seriously
As soon as they showed that twinkle in their eyes, I knew this movie was going to be good. Hunter in particular gives a spectacular performance. She’s visually shaken up and nervous when she needs to be, which sells the point that she’s driven. Some Hallmark actresses don’t do that, so for me she stands out.
Overall this movie is a must see for Hallmark movie fans
The story is fantastic and told as if it were a real family affair, but considering the traditions and superstitions that sports families have, there’s no doubt that this situation plays out in personal life year after year. This movie is a bit different in that it focuses on the love of a family rather than the love of two people, so in my opinion it’s more personal. You don’t even have to like sports or football to understand what this is about. You just have to believe that love can manifest itself in mysterious ways, and sometimes those mysterious ways come in the form of superstition and Christmas magic.
