A pilot transports an air marshal to escort a fugitive to trial. As they travel through the Alaskan wilderness, tensions rise and trust is tested as not everyone is who they seem. Mel Gibson has directed only five feature films since his 1993 debut The Faceless Man. He often takes long breaks between films; Hacksaw Ridge was released seven years ago. Before Gibson arrived on Flight Risk, he was already in production on The Passion of the Christ: Resurrection, a sequel to the 2004 blockbuster Pilot: Need a Pilot.
