It follows a group of military superhumans consisting of a human leader, a werewolf, a vampire, a Frankenstein’s monster, and a gorgon..
Gunn then greenlit the project himself when he became CEO of DC Studios

This was the best start to a new franchise ever, with an unknown crew full of misfits there’s no doubt this would be a bad one, this was definitely an adventure you’d want to see over and over again, James Gunn has clearly established himself as the king of comic book adaptations, even with a team that was supposed to be for World War II, but this time I’m forever indebted for another of his incredible creations and mind, I can’t wait to see what he has in store for us, giving us true DC justice, I’ll no doubt be sitting in the front row of the movies and on the back of my chair at home, James Gunn if you’re watching this, I’m 100% #DCUFOREVER.
