Plot
Exploring the incredible rise of the beloved king of the Pride Lands, Mufasa: The Lion King enlists Rafiki to pass on the legend of Mufasa to the young lioness Kiara, daughter of Simba and Nala, with Timon and Pumbaa lending their signature style. Told in flashbacks, the story introduces Mufasa as an orphaned cub, lost and alone, until he meets a friendly lion named Taka—heir to a royal lineage. A chance encounter begins an expansive journey for an unlikely group of misfits in search of their destiny. Their bonds will be tested as they work together to escape a menacing and deadly enemy.
