Plot
A girl who can see the colors in people’s hearts joins a gang with two other people.. The Colors Within tells the story of Totsuko Higurashi (Sayu Suzukawa), a young girl who sees the colors in everyone’s heart when she meets them. Kimi Sakunaga (Akari Takaishi) & Rui Kagehira (Taisei Kido).
The Colors Within is a great film
Director Naoko Yamada has given us a film that is charming, quite funny & will make you cry during its final scene. However, it is not as flawless as Looking Back (2024) or The Boy and the Heron (2023), two other anime films I have seen recently. The animation is breathtakingly beautiful & is the highlight of the film.
The songs are catchy
The vocal performances are top notch. Sayu Suzukawa is impressive as Totsuko Higurashi. Akari Takaishi is stunning as Kimi Sakunaga.
The supporting cast is brilliant
Taisei Kido is great as Rui Kagehira. The Colors Within is a must-see for anime fans. Watch it on the big screen for a more memorable experience.
